Terms of Service

The rules for using MuchoKarte.

Last updated July 13, 2026

Welcome to MuchoKarte (“MuchoKarte”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a multilingual flashcard app that helps you learn vocabulary across several languages at once with AI-generated cards and spaced repetition.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and MuchoKarte and govern your use of the website, apps, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, continuing as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use MuchoKarte

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use MuchoKarte with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.

2. Your account

You can use MuchoKarte in two ways:

  • A registered account, created with an email address, a username, and a password.
  • A guest account, created without credentials so you can try the app. Guest accounts are temporary: if you clear your browser data before converting a guest into a registered account, that account and its contents may be lost, and inactive guest accounts may be deleted.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Your username is shown publicly on decks you make public. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use MuchoKarte lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Break any applicable law or infringe anyone else's rights, including intellectual-property and privacy rights.
  • Upload or generate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or that sexualizes minors.
  • Choose a username, or publish deck content, that is deceptive, abusive, or impersonates someone else.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure, or bypass rate limits and other protections.
  • Use automated means to scrape the Service or resell access to it without our permission.

Decks can be reported by other users and reviewed by our moderators. We may hide, mask, or remove content, and suspend or disable accounts, that we reasonably believe breach these Terms.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the decks, cards, notes, and other content you create (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and back up Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service.

If you choose to make a deck public, you also allow other users to view it and to copy it into their own accounts. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to share anything you publish. You can make decks private or delete them at any time; deleting content removes it from the Service going forward, though residual copies may persist briefly in backups.

5. AI-generated content

MuchoKarte uses third-party AI models (such as Google Gemini or another OpenAI-compatible provider) to generate cards, translations, examples, and related material from the topics and languages you choose.

AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or awkward — machine translation in particular is imperfect. You should treat generated content as a study aid, not authoritative fact, and verify anything important before you rely on it. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting the decks you generate.

6. Our intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, logos, and the “MuchoKarte” name — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not give you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the Service normally.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties to function — for example cloud hosting, AI generation, translation, and email delivery. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms where they apply. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep MuchoKarte available and useful, but we provide the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MuchoKarte and the people who build it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using MuchoKarte at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others, to us, or to the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date below and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of MuchoKarte is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
